ArtsLink Fizz! is a special wellbeing project which provides activities to enhance and enrich the lives of local people.
During 2020 we worked hard to support our Fizz! participants remotely…
We are now running some classes online. Please see our individual projects for full details…
Thank you to all the Fizz! team for their hard work, support and ability to think outside the box during these unusual times. We look forward to seeing as many of our participants as possible face to face once it is safe to do so – for now we will see you virtually where possible!
“Creative activity is a tool which can be used to help with life’s challenges.”
Funded by the National Lottery for 4 years (2017-2021) this project delivers the following free weekly sessions:
Parkinson’s Dance – special dance and movement activity for people living with Parkinson’s
Art for Memory – supportive groups for people with early stage Memory Loss, whatever the reason, which utilize creative activities to encourage engagement and sharing
Art for Parents – social groups with a focus on creative activities which provide support and friendship.
Delivered by specially trained and experienced leaders these groups are making a significant difference to large number of people living locally to Sherborne.
ArtsLink Fizz! is reducing feelings of isolation, increasing people’s confidence, providing a safe and happy place, improving confidence with mobility and providing a network of support.

Research and Evaluation
ArtsLink have engaged the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences at Bournemouth University (BU) to undertake an independent evaluation of the ArtsLink Fizz! Project. This will ensure that the learning and findings from the project will be meaningful, useful and accessible.
At the end of the four years BU will publish a final report which will show it’s finding about the project outcomes and achievements. This will be disseminated widely and will contribute to the growing research about the value of engagement in creative/artistic activity as a way to support health and wellbeing.
Celebrating the Arts
An annual event which provides exhibition opportunities for all involved with ArtsLink and ArtsLink Fizz! plus talks, workshops and loads more, all with the aim of celebrating achievement, talent and taking part.
This year’s date is under discussion and will be published if we feel it is safe to run a little later in the year.
