Helen Priest

Executive Manager

As a qualified teacher, a background in the Civil Service and a school governor for 8 years Helen is organised, thorough and super-efficient with an understanding of education and a passion for access to quality opportunities for all. A lover of life and a warm and sunny climate Helen has come to accept that she must be a Rain Goddess as it always rains on her days off!

Jennie Loader

Executive Manager

With a background thoroughly routed in the voluntary sector Jennie is passionate about people engaging in activities which make them happy, improves their health and brings them together. Her many years at the community coalface help to inform the strategy for and programmes at ArtsLink. A textile nut who shares her knowledge through teaching feltmaking and, when not surrounded by fibre, can be found on a dance floor strutting her stuff.

Kate Osman

Fizz! Project Manager

Part womble and experienced fused glass artist Kate works with recycled glass, mainly rescued greenhouses, at her studio in Marnhull. Kate is passionate about the ArtsLink Fizz! projects and the benefits they bring and if you get her started will talk at length about them, usually waving her hands manically to emphasise her point!

Jess Egan

Arts Assistant

Loving her role in the office supporting the team and considers herself lucky to be part of the ArtsLink Fizz project team (her own words!). Jess is a secret Excel geek and social media explorer, a painter and takes herself off at any excuse to escape into the countryside and the coast!

Colin Lloyd

Trustee, Chair

Colin joined ArtsLink 5 years ago as a Trustee having been a volunteer Team Leader with National trust for 10 years. His background is in the healthcare industry where he worked for 40 years leading to an enduring interest in community health and welfare. Sometime jazz drummer, cricket and rugby fanatic who is always approachable except during periods of Test Match cricket and World Cup rugby!

Mike Balfour

Trustee, Deputy Chair

Mike places great value on community arts and joined ArtsLink Trustees to help to monitor the National Lottery funded TakepArt programme which provided new opportunities for young people and families. He is a keen independent traveller to Africa, India and Eastern Europe despite being sunk by the Slovaks and locked up by the Romanians during a 1970 River Danube source-to-sea inflatable boat expedition!

David Lyscom

David’s main career was the Diplomatic Service. He served as the Independent Schools Council CEO and Policy Director at the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors. He brings to Artslink representational skills and experience in public policy, financial and risk management. His arts background is in the performing arts, including music and drama. He has written and performed in several pantomimes – oh yes he did!

Emma Bell

Emma is a successful business owner running a high street gallery and training & consultancy company. She brings a wide skill set and bags of enthusiasm to her role as a trustee.   She is passionate about ArtsLink knowing that getting creative, having fun and being with your friends has the power to improve lives, learning, health and happiness.   When she’s not working she can be found wandering the countryside calling for her naughty black lab, Bertie!
