In this activity we are all going to paint and then write a postcard for a friend or family member, use a piece of white card or water colour paper, draw or paint on one side, write, address and stamp the other side! Contact with others is so important for our health and wellbeing so take time to create something to send to a friend or family member you are unable to see in person, receiving something so personal and thoughtful will brighten anyone’s day. We thought it could be ‘The view from my window’ (yours not ours!!) Have a look outside, what is your view? – paint all of it or focus on just one part, it is up to you. You may want to draw into your watercolour painting once it is dry to add in detail – use a black pen, biro or pencil – whatever you have. As ever, these ideas are only a starting place, enjoy yourself!
Have fun and if you are not able to get out to the post box right now please do not worry, send it when you are able to. It might however be an excellent excuse for a spot of fresh air and a short walk. Please take care and stay safe though.
