ArtsLink Fizz! Project Manager 

We have an opening for someone who is enthusiastic and committed with previous experience of organising activities and events in a community setting.

20 hours per week, fixed term contract to 30 April 2021
Annual salary for 20 hours per week: £11,960

 ArtsLink Fizz! is an arts, health and wellbeing project devised by Sherborne ArtsLink and funded by the Big Lottery Fund.  It is delivered in the local community to include the town of Sherborne and surrounding villages.

There are three main beneficiaries and projects:
Dance for people with Parkinson’s
Memory Art sessions across multiple art forms for people with memory loss
Art and craft sessions for parents facing additional challenges eg, isolation, health problems, children with disabilities etc
Plus, an annual celebration of creativity which will bring all these strands together with participants from other work undertaken by ArtsLink, plus the wider community.

 We are seeking a Project Manager with a background in community work, project co-ordination and some knowledge of the arts sector.  They must be able to communicate with a wide range of people, be flexible, creative and reliable, have excellent organizational skills, plus the ability to lead, enable and work as part of a small team.  They will also have a track record of working successfully to deadlines, meeting targets plus preparing and delivering reports.

Both the ArtsLink Fizz! project and the Project Manager position are funded by the Big Lottery Fund until 30 April 2021.

ArtsLink is seeking new Trustees to help guide this creative organisation into the future.  Skills particularly sought are:

  • Fundraising
  • Marketing

Freelance Professional Artists and Tutors

We are seeking new tutors to help deliver high quality arts education in Sherborne and the local area on a freelance basis. 

We are also seeking tutors with specialisms to support the delivery of the ArtsLink Fizz! project 

We offer weekly/one day classes and workshops/lectures and demonstrations over a period of three termly programmes.  We would be keen to hear from professional artists and lecturers who feel they could make a positive contribution to the community and further enrich the courses we offer.

Volunteering for ArtsLink

ArtsLink has a number of volunteer opportunities:

  • Minute Secretary for the Council of Management (Board of Trustees)
  • Stewards for our monthly Flicks
  • Assistants at Parkinson's Dance
  • Arts Buffet - helping to facilitate this free art and craft day for families.
  • Event support - stewarding lectures and trips, and helping at community events
  • Helping with programme distribution and office tasks
