Art Support Worker - paid

The ArtsLink Fizz! project is seeking committed and organised staff to support both our Art for Memory and Art for Parent groups for targeted vulnerable adults. These posts are offered on a self-employed, freelance basis with sessional contracts offered termly.  For example: 3 terms per year, 9 weeks per term, 1 session of 2.5 hours per week.  

As Support Worker for ArtsLink Fizz! you will attend the project sessions and support the tutor to facilitate the group. In discussion with the tutor you will assist in pre and post class setting up of equipment and materials and will take part in the activity with your focus being to provide friendly support to group members and practical support for the tutor.

Deadline for applications is midnight Monday 15th October, applications must be complete and application by CV will not be accepted.

Freelance Professional Artists and Tutors

We are always keen to hear from tutors who would be interested in joining our team to  deliver inspiring, high quality arts education in Sherborne and the local area.  All our tutors work on a freelance basis. 

We are also seeking tutors with specialisms to support the delivery of the ArtsLink Fizz! project 

We offer weekly/one day classes and workshops/lectures and demonstrations over a period of three termly programmes.  We would be keen to hear from professional artists and lecturers who feel they could make a positive contribution to the community and further enrich the courses we offer.

Volunteering for ArtsLink

ArtsLink has a number of volunteer opportunities:

  • Minute Secretary for the Council of Management (Board of Trustees)
  • Stewards for our monthly Flicks
  • Assistants at Parkinson's Dance
  • Arts Buffet - helping to facilitate this free art and craft day for families.
  • Event support - stewarding lectures and trips, and helping at community events
  • Helping with programme distribution and office tasks
